Restaurant inspections in Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County Environmental Health gives restaurants 1 to 3 unannounced routine inspections a year. Each starts at 100 points, and the restaurant posts an A, B or C grade card, or a Score Card.
What the results mean
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| "A" Letter Grade | 90 to 100 points: generally superior. |
| "B" Letter Grade | 80 to 89 points: generally good. |
| "C" Letter Grade | 70 to 79 points: generally acceptable. |
| Score Card | 69 points or below: poor. The card shows the score, not a letter. |
| Notice of Closure | The permit is suspended or revoked, or there is none. Posted on the entrance door. |
