Restaurant inspections in Sacramento County
Sacramento County Environmental Management inspects every retail food facility, restaurants with 3 routine inspections a year. Each posts a green, yellow or red placard within 5 feet of its main entrance. There is no score.
What the results mean
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Green placard ("Pass") | At most 1 major violation, corrected during the inspection. |
| Yellow placard ("Conditional Pass") | 2 or more major violations. A re-inspection follows within 24 to 72 hours. |
| Red placard ("Closed") | An imminent threat to health and safety: the facility had to close. |
